About Me

I'm Sofia Vankova a Visual Artist Sofi

I was born in Bulgaria but I have lived in Ireland for many years.
I started drawing when I was 3 and I have won many art contests. During Covid I started online drawing lessons with my teacher Yuliana but the curious thing is that I actually met her in person for the first time 2 years after we started.

Sometimes I talk about my achievements, sometimes I talk about my absurdly huge and abstract imagination. Sometimes I just daydream XD. No, seriously XD.

I love music and I usually spend many hours reading or drawing and listening to music. I also make miniature things.
Sources of Ideas
I sometimes do weird things, like drawing strange drawings. Sometimes I draw funny pictures since I'm in the mood. I get inspiration from my dreams a lot of the time.

A Cultural evening at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Dublin and a charity exhibition at the “AZBUKA” school with the participation of Sofia Vankova

This Saturday, March 29, 2025, Sofia was an active participant in two events. The day began with the charity exhibition at the “AZBUKA” school where she presented, together with her teacher Juliana Mihaylova, watercolors painted over the last 5 years during their online lessons. The audience’s interest was aroused by the method in which the two work together – a common idea on which they paint, but a completely different result.
